Do the boring prep first: finish the main mission list, unlock endgame travel points, bank one strong shock weapon, one corrosive weapon and one boss-melting setup. Story DLC usually punishes players who arrive with one narrow farming build and no backup gear.
Should you chase DLC weapons immediately?
Not all day-one loot is worth your time. Farm obvious quest rewards once, then wait for the community to confirm whether the drop is fixed, bugged, or secretly better at a higher world tier. If a guide claims exact rates on launch day with no sample size, treat it as entertainment.
DLC price and edition questions
If you already own a deluxe or super deluxe edition, check your platform entitlement before buying a separate pack. If you only care about one story pack, buying individually can be cheaper. If you play every event and care about cosmetics, the pass-style bundle is usually simpler.
Level cap and loot events
