Sources and accuracy policy

Policy and directory checked October 18, 2026. The SHiFT table keeps its own dated public listings and redemption boundary.

A source check is a reading of named evidence, not a claim that this site tested the game. Each guide should make the evidence useful: a route needs its starting location and unlock, an item needs its distinctive effect and source, and a tool needs data that matches the labels on its controls.

Official statements and original observations

Use Gearbox’s update notes for the changes Gearbox actually announces. The official character pages supply the planner’s skill names, rows and published ranks. These are sources for published facts, not proof that every website description reflects the latest live balance value.

For details absent from official announcements, this site can use original player observations. MentalMars’ Divisioner guide, for example, describes its author’s route and the decoy mechanic. Nine maximum-rank values omitted from official skill text are supplemented by Lootlemon’s skill records, with a link on each affected planner node. A second site repeating the same claim is not an independent gameplay test.

Reading a date correctly

A guide’s source-check date says when its sources were inspected. An update entry separately records when the change occurred. A historical May announcement remains a May announcement even if it is checked in October. When a page cites an older version, read the current notes for later changes before relying on its numerical balance values.

The update timeline keeps those dates separate. The DLC page distinguishes shipped content from a future release date. The SHiFT table labels a public listing separately from an actual redemption.

Drop rates are attributed figures

Some original guides publish a drop formula, such as a base percentage plus a per-UVH-rank increase. Where that figure is retained, the gear drop table names the publisher. BL4 Tools has not independently sampled thousands of drops and does not invent a sample size or a guaranteed number of attempts.

A loot-pool announcement without a percentage supports “this item can drop here,” not a made-up percentage. Rainmaker’s reported Platinum-tier UVHM chest guarantee is a reward condition, not a guarantee on every Bloomreaper kill.

Limits

Corrections and unsupported claims

If evidence does not support an exact route, effect or number, it should be corrected or removed from the answer rather than padded with confidence. Useful pages keep the parts that can answer the original question. Duplicate entrances can merge into a complete answer with a direct redirect; hiding a page from search does not repair its contents.

Send the affected URL, version and supporting observation to [email protected]. See About for the site’s purpose and covered tasks.

Source library

Use this directory to open the evidence behind a task. Official announcements establish what Gearbox published; original player guides add observed routes and item behavior. A linked source does not imply that BL4 Tools performed the same gameplay test.

Official skills: six hunters

The planner’s October 18 snapshot records these pages’ published names, rows, branches and maximum ranks. Open the relevant character for the full effects; use our tree comparison to decide which Action Skill you want.

PC troubleshooting

The official PC guide provides the shader-cache, file-verification and upscaling baseline. NVIDIA’s BL4 documentation distinguishes Super Resolution, Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation. Our symptom guides turn these into one-change comparisons.

Original player observations

MentalMars documents its author’s boss routes and gear behavior. Start with the original Divisioner, Vile Ted, Voraxis or Bloomreaper guide. The gear drop table links each item’s original record. Nine planner nodes separately link Lootlemon where official text omits a rank limit.
